Cali Rosina is a tea and chocolate shop located in Old Town, La Quinta and is one of my FAVORITE spots!
Here are my 7 reasons to try Cali Rosina Tea & Chocolate:
- Cali Rosina has amazing tea! They brew high quality loose leaf tea and incorporate real fruits, herbs and fresh squeezed juice. Try it hot, iced, milky (always dairy free), or ice blended. My favorite of the moment is the Blackberry Sencha. A blend of green tea from Japan and a herbal combo made up of purple fruit & hibiscus.
- Cali Rosina offers over 200 chocolates from around the world. You will find dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vegan chocolate, sugar free chocolate, chocolate with nuts, chocolate with bananas…you get the idea. Plus, they have an assortment of unique gifts including teapots, cups, flavored honey, syrups and a whole lot more.
- You can’t beat their avocado toast! Made with fresh, homemade bread and a healthy portion of avocado, this is the perfect bite to start your day.
- They have this stuff called Cali Whip. There is no dairy at Cali Rosina. Instead, they use their own Cali Whip made with coconut cream and other secret ingredients to flavor drinks and as a topping on toast. It adds sweetness and creaminess, and is a great substitute for milk. For a refreshing snack, give their Cali Bowl a try. Fresh cut pineapple, topped with Cali Whip, honey and either chopped almonds or granola. Delicious!
- Gift baskets! Jodi (the co-owner with her brother Josh) creates beautiful gift baskets, perfect for any occasion. I gifted two baskets over Christmas, and my mom and friend LOVED them. I gave Jodi my budget, and she put together a fantastic selection of items from the shop complete with a beautiful bow.
- The team at Cali Rosina is beyond friendly. You are greeted by name and a smile as you enter the shop. Jodi, Josh and their staff take pride in their work and it shows. They treat their customers as friends, and many have become just that.
- Not only is the customer service impeccable, their knowledge of tea and chocolate is incredible. From the origin of the tea to how it is brewed, they can answer it all.

Monday thru Wednesday – 7:00am to 4:00pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 7:00am to 7:00pm
Sunday – 7:00am to 3:00pm
Order Before You Go
If you are in a hurry, they do take phone orders. If I am running late for work, a quick call on my way ensures my drink is ready and waiting for me when I arrive.
Seating
They have one table available inside and several tables (approximately 5) outside in the shade. In addition there are two cement tables and two benches near the front parking lot in the sun.
Parking
There is parking in front, and also a parking lot behind the shop for customers and staff. If parking in the back, there is a door marked #104 that you can use to enter the shop.
Restrooms
Restrooms are available. You will need a key from the shop to utilize them.
