Run, Don’t Walk, To The Amazing Glow In The Park

Glow in the Park, a Spring Lantern Festival, is a must-do at The Living Desert.

Glow in the Park at the Living Desert

Glow in the Park is an immersive display of larger-than-life illuminated lanterns representing a variety of wild animals and themes throughout the Living Desert. It is absolutely gorgeous! The colors are vibrant and the exhibit is breathtaking.

I went sans children, but many families were in attendance having a wonderful time. The amazing lanterns are enough to keep you delighted, but there are animals, music, lighted swings, popcorn, food and drinks available to add to the fun. Of course, a ride on the carousel is a must!

Tip: Get There Early

While you will want to wait until dark to experience the glow of the lanterns, get there early to check out the new Rhino Savanna. Both rhinos were out and about enjoying an evening snack. The giraffes were also on full display as were zebras, big horn sheep and wild dogs. I even got a glimpse of one of the cheetahs.
