What’s New You Need to Know About My Favorite Things to Do in the Coachella Valley

Can you believe my first blog post was in March 2022? It’s been almost a year! I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to visit my website and read my blogs. It is a labor of love for me. That said, things change over time, so below is an update on some of my favorite places and things to do in the Coachella Valley.

One of My Favorite Things to Do in the Coachella Valley is Glow in the Park!

Back for its second year, Glow in the Park returns to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens beginning Friday, March 17, 2023. As you might remember, I suggested you run not walk to this immersive display of larger-than-life illuminated lanterns. This year, wander through brand new installations representing wildlife from around the world. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the website. Don’t wait. Many nights will sell out. RD RNNR is Moving Too

The popular RD RNNR Libations, Pints and Plates has outgrown its current location in Old Town La Quinta. They will be moving to the space once occupied by Hog’s Breath above the Grill on Main. Currently getting the new spot ready, you can look forward to a large patio overlooking Old Town, a bigger dining room and more. What’s happening at the current RD RNNR locale? Chris and Anita are planning to open a new high-concept restaurant once the transition is complete. Learn more about RD RNNR in my blog post here.

One of my favorite things to do in the Coachella Valley is to try new wines and nibble on delicious small plates. I can now do both seven days a week at La Fe Wine Bar. That’s right, La Fe is open on Monday nights! In addition, their wonderful wine tastings continue and have moved to Tuesday evenings. Next up is the Tierra Luna Tasting on February 7th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Find out why you will fall in love with La Fe by clicking here.

I start every morning off with a delicious tea from Cali Rosina Tea & Chocolate in Old Town La Quinta. Whether I am dragging in from a late night or feeling alert and chipper, they have a tea blend to brighten my day. Everyone knows about their amazing Avocado Toast, but now they have added new menu items to try. Matcha Rice is full of flavor plus vegan and gluten free. The Early Rose is a combination of Earl Grey and Rose tea blended with Cali’s own hot chocolate. Their hot chocolate is 55% dark chocolate and dairy free. Read more about what Cali Rosina has to offer here.
