The Tropicale in Palm Springs is one of my favorite dining spots. Here are 5 reasons to try the tantalizing Tropicale.
1. Tropicale’s Innovative Cocktails
Two of my favorites are the Cocunut Martini, a sweet concoction of fresh lime and pineapple muddled with cocunut rum and a splash of lime juice, and the Ginger Martini, muddled pineapple, ginger vodka, ginger liqueur and juices. In addition to martinis, they offer a variety of creative mojitos, refreshing sangrias, a wide selection of wine and beer, a full bar and non-alcoholic beverages.
2. Delicious Food
Probably the most important criteria in choosing a restaurant is the food. Tropicale presents a diverse menu of appetizers, salads, pizza, sushi, entrees, and dessert. For truffle lovers, the Grilled Prime Flat Iron Salad with Baby Arugula is a neccesity. The truffle vinaigrette is amazing. Other must tries include the Chili-Rubbed Kurobuta Tomahawk-Cut Pork Chop and the Grilled Organic Brisket Burger with Melted Brie. Another delicious choice is the Miso-Glazed Steelhead Loch Salmon & Black Rice Bowl. Make sure to check out their scrumptious weekly specials.
3. Tropicale’s Happy Hour
Tropicale hosts Happy Hour daily from 4pm to 7pm and 4pm to close on Wednesdays. In addition to drink specials, you will find small plates and pizzas to nosh on. Holy Mole Chicken Nachos, Thai Lettuce Cups with Spicy Pork & Asian Slaw, Angus Sliders with Guyere & Red Onion Marmalade and Pepperoni, Marinara, Jalapeno & Provolone Pizza are crowd pleasers.
4. Tropicale’s Decor
The dining room reminds you of a dinner house from the 1950’s and is both luxurious and comfortable. Their patio is lush and green and is the perfect place to dine al fresco.
5. Attentive Staff
The staff at Tropicale makes you feel special. Everyone from the host/hostess to the bartender to the server greets you with a warm smile and is genuinely happy to see you. Knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, the service at Tropicale is exceptional.
