Boozehounds in Palm Springs is Where Dogs Bring Their Humans. Owners Jimmy McGill, Steve Piacenza and Bryan Rogers love their dogs and wanted a place where people could socialize with their pups. Thus, Boozehounds was born. Cooper and I have frequented this establishment many times, and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots in the desert. Read on to find out why.
The Décor is Fresh and Hip
Boozehounds’ 7000 sq. foot venue consists of an indoor dining room and bar, a glass-enclosed atrium and a patio and cabana bar. Jenni-Kate Rogers, owner and creative director of Raven and the Willow, is the mastermind behind the restaurant’s design. Picture mid-century vibes in cool colors of sage, terracotta and mustard. Find velvet booths, rattan chairs, couches and even swinging chairs for seating. Eclectic touches are abundant with neon signs, kitschy knick-knacks, fun wallpaper and an abundance of greenery. Both the patio and atrium are dog friendly.
Discover Unique and Tasty Dishes
Executive Chef Aric Ianni has created a menu inspired by local Southern California cuisine mixed with Japanese influences. Standouts include fresh Crudos made with Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail or Scallops. Customers rave about the Miso Chilean Fish & Chips, Adobo Chicken and Double Burger with Cheese. You can’t go wrong with a Baked Lobster or Spicy Tuna Tartine.
Brunch is served Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2pm. Popular items include Biscuits & Longanisa Gravy, the Spam Bibimbap Breakfast Bowl and the Blueberry Ube Cheese Blintz.
Of course there is a doggy menu. Developed with your pup’s wellbeing in mind, your dog can choose from items such as the Doggie TV Dinner, Loaded Sweet Potato or Teriyaki Salmon Bowl.

You Can’t Call it Boozehounds Without Some Booze
Mixologist Justin Gordon has put together an innovative list of craft cocktails. Striker’s Afternoon, named after the owner’s beloved dog, is a mixture of Old Forester 100-proof bourbon, spiced blackberry-rosemary cordial and ginger beer. For cat lovers, sip the Kitty Mingling, composed of Titos vodka, house-made pineapple-coconut shrub, mango puree and farm egg white.
Besides cocktails, find a variety of beer, sake and wine to indulge in. Flavorful mocktails are also available.
There is Always Something Going On at Boozehounds
Besides the delicious food and drinks, Boozehounds is the place to go for fantastic events. Cooper and I had a blast at the Monday Moonlight Cinema N’ Scaries event on Halloween. We dressed up in costume (well, Cooper did), brought our blankets and lawn chairs and settled in for a showing of the original Halloween on an outdoor movie screen. Dinner was a delectable Bento Box with an Asian flair. Cooper loved his handmade doggy treats, and I enjoyed themed cocktails and truffle popcorn. We can’t wait for Christmas Cheer Cinema Under the Stars this Sunday with Elf.
